I am not here to condemn any company or a web page, I am here to stand for my self and let the people now that it’s very important to find out about any new company before joining them or would end up like me. This is my story, story of truth, story of bettering, story of cheating and story of punishing for no reason.

I have a total experience of 4 years into media and in these 4 years I never felt that I made a mistake anywhere I worked, until now. I was an employee of top most media company of India, until I make the worst mistake of my life by joining Merinews.

Let me talk about Merinews. Merinews clams to be India’s first Citizen Journalism website, which only the actual first Citizen Journalism website can say because till now whatever the company has clamed turns to be fraud. I did a good search on companies calling themselves to be PRESS but in actual they are not PRESS recognized, out of which Merinews is one of them.

Before joining I was said its PRESS recognized but the truth was something else. I am from a very well known family and my background can actually help a company to grow, that’s what Merinews saw in my case before hiring.

I joined as a Reporter Cum Editor and when it came for reporting I know, I did a great job. I got interviews of people that Merinews could have never got, which I can give it on writing. Of top Actors, CEO’s, Fashion Designers and the list goes on. But my hard work did not count they wanted more out of it. More in the sense of MONEY. They wanted me to get 7 Lakhs from my father. They threatened of taking my job if I don’t get them money.

I was asked to leave within 2 months by giving me the reason of “If I would have got the money, my job would have got saved.” The truth is they don’t appreciate good work, they see profit. I have a good proof to prove how con Merinews as a company is, and equally the people working in Merinews are.

My mistake was I joined this company and I paid for my mistake. But my end of Merinews turns to be a good opening in one of the most known TV Media Company. I will not forgive them for what they did to me. I have filed an FIR against the company and filed a case of being a fraud company by giving me PRESS card when it’s not PRESS recognized.

This article is for people like me joining companies without knowing the background. There are many companies like Merinews using PRESS names but they are not. Be aware of them and if caught in one, make them pay.
