A report by the glacial experts suggests loss of glaciers would take away summertime source of river water, drinking water and hydroelectric power from South Asia and western slopes of the Andes, jeopardising the environment to large extent.

This will not only result in melting of the polar ice caps and glaciers, but also jeopardise the environment to a very large extent.
